Privacy Policy

Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Extino Systems (“Extino”, “we”, “our” or “us”) collects, uses and safeguards information when you use our Google Chrome extensions, our website at extino.net and our store, or sign in to an Extino account. We are committed to protecting your privacy and to being transparent about how data is handled.

Our extensions are designed to operate primarily on your own device and only access the information necessary to provide the functionality you asked for.

Information we collect

We do not collect or sell personal data for advertising or tracking purposes. Depending on the features you use, we may process the following categories of information.

Account and authentication information

When you sign in to an extension or to the store, you authenticate through Google Sign-In or an email and password managed by Firebase Authentication. We receive your email address, display name and profile picture from that provider. Passwords, PINs or security answers are never stored by Extino. Session tokens are used only to authorize access to your account and subscriptions.

Subscription and purchase information

To know which extensions you are entitled to use, we keep a record of your trials and subscriptions (the extension, plan, start and end dates, and status) linked to your account email. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We keep Stripe’s customer, subscription and payment references so we can activate access, handle renewals, cancellations and refunds.

User activity data

An extension may process limited interactions only when you explicitly initiate an action, such as clicking a button in the extension, running a command or workflow, or using one of its features. Our extensions do not perform background monitoring, keystroke logging, mouse tracking or behavioural profiling.

Website content

When required for its core functionality, an extension may read or process content visible on the active web page — text, images, videos, links or structured page elements. This happens only on pages you choose and only after your explicit interaction. Website content is not permanently stored unless it is necessary for a task you requested (for example, exporting data you asked to export).

Technical and usage data

We may collect non-identifying technical information such as browser type and version, anonymous usage statistics (which features are used, install and uninstall events, errors) and performance or diagnostic data. This information is used solely to keep our extensions reliable and to improve them.

How we use information

Collected information is used only to:

• Provide and operate the extension and store features you use
• Verify your subscription and grant access to paid features
• Process payments, renewals, cancellations and refunds
• Send transactional emails about your account, trials and subscriptions
• Improve performance, reliability and user experience
• Diagnose and fix technical issues
• Ensure security and prevent misuse or fraud

We do not use collected data for advertising, profiling or tracking users across websites.

Chrome Web Store user data policy

Our use of information received from Google APIs and from your browser adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Permissions requested by each extension are limited to what its core functionality needs, and each permission is explained in the extension’s store listing.

Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade user data. Information may be shared only:

• With service providers strictly necessary to run the service — Firebase (authentication and database), Stripe (payments), Customer.io (transactional email) and Cloudflare (hosting) — and, where a feature requires it, third-party AI or content APIs you choose to use.
• For legal compliance, when required by law or a valid legal process.
• For security, to protect our rights, our users or our systems from abuse or harm.

All service providers are bound to handle data under their own privacy policies and applicable data protection standards.

Cookies and local storage

Signing in sets a secure, HTTP-only cookie that keeps you logged in and lets the extension refresh its session. Extensions store settings, cached access status and task data locally in your browser using Chrome’s extension storage. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention

Data is retained only for as long as necessary to provide the functionality you requested. Account and subscription records are kept while your account exists so your purchases stay available on every device. Temporary data held by an extension is stored locally and is cleared automatically when it is no longer needed or when you uninstall the extension. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time (see Contact).

Data security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), access to our systems is restricted to authorised staff, and payment details are handled exclusively by Stripe.

Third-party services

Our extensions may interact with third-party websites or APIs (for example the websites an extension automates). Those services operate under their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their data practices. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use with our extensions.

Your controls and rights

You can at any time:

• Review and change an extension’s permissions in Chrome’s extension settings
• Limit or disable features inside the extension
• Manage or cancel a subscription from the store or from the extension’s account panel
• Uninstall an extension to stop all of its data processing immediately
• Request a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. We honour such requests regardless of location.

International data transfers

Our service providers may store and process data in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. We rely on their standard contractual safeguards to protect that data.

Children's privacy

Our extensions and website are not intended for children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page and the “Last updated” date is revised accordingly. Continued use of our extensions or website after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
